United Way 2-1-1 is an easy-to-remember, three-digit number that McHenry County citizens can call to obtain free and confidential information and resources on health and human services. Our 2-1-1 call center is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by trained Information and Referral Specialists who quickly assess needs and refer callers to the help that they seek.

MCHELP App is a quick click to reach immediate crisis support and information via text or voice. Everyone in McHenry County will benefit from the app which easily downloads on mobile devices.

The MCHELP App is expanded to provide:

  • A way out for Substance Abuse
  • Information & Referral via 2-1-1
  • Helping links via McHenry County Mental Health Board
  • Q.P.R. Suicide Prevention

McHenry County Crisis Center and Help Line

The McHenry County Crisis Center is the center point of access for all behavioral health emergencies in McHenry County. They provide emergency health services, upon request, to all McHenry County residents. The Crisis Program’s primary goals are to provide prompt, compassionate, and effective mental health during personal, family, or community emergency.
