United Way of Greater McHenry County is excited to announce and welcome Heidi Berardi as its new Resource Development and Relationship Manager. Berardi will be responsible for continuing to increase awareness of United Way of Greater McHenry County’s mission to unite people and resources as well as growing relationships and campaign dollars to support the organization’s 29 nonprofit partnerships and 48 programs available to McHenry County residents.

Berardi brings with her two decades of experience in public speaking, community outreach, nonprofit management and client relations. She previously served as Vice President of Sales & Service for Rock Valley Credit Union in Loves Park, IL and prior to that was Director of Education & Community Outreach for Family Credit Management, a national nonprofit credit counseling organization in Chicago.

A tireless advocate for the underserved, Berardi has sat on Family Self Sufficiency Committees for the Rockford and Chicago Housing Authorities, the Career Awareness A Team for Alignment Rockford (an agency that connects schools with employers), was two time Chair of Money Smart Week Rockford and was on the Get Checking Advisory Committee, a national panel of experts dedicated to providing financial products and services to the unbanked. Berardi holds a B.S. in English Education from Illinois State University.
