One of my relatives loves to share the quote “Be the change” on her social media. She has a such a positive outlook on life and her quotes and pictures can be uplifting and incredibly inspiring. I’ve noticed that often, her posts find me when I need the little reminder the most.
Be the change is incredibly prevalent in today’s society and it’s open to interpretation in all areas of our lives. But in particular, today, to our McHenry County. Last fall, when we kicked off our annual campaign, we asked the community to be the change and continue to make our community a great place to live and work, affording all our residents access to what they need most to succeed.
We couldn’t be prouder to say that it’s thanks to all of you, who helped United Way of Greater McHenry County raise the bar this past campaign year! You accepted the challenge to be the change, and for that, we are grateful! Your help and championship to give where you live and re-invest in our McHenry County allowed us to grant $1.1 million dollars to our 29 local partner agencies beginning this July! This grant money will help to fund their specific programs in the areas of health, education and financial stability.
