United Way of Greater McHenry County Marketing Manager, Heather Arnold, has been selected as one of 47 participants in United Way Worldwide’s Leaders Engaged in Accelerated Development (LEAD) Program. LEAD is a competitive, year-long program designed to identify United Way employees with the highest performance and potential to achieve excellence for their organization, its mission and the network.
United Way of Greater McHenry County Executive Director Carole Peters said the program is an exclusive development platform, currently only available to less than one percent of the entire United Way network.
“United Way is looking for high-quality talent that is ready to take on the demands of leadership tomorrow. We are so proud of Heather’s acceptance into the program and we are excited for her to continue building our network for the good of our community and our organization,” said Peters.
Selection for the program was based on performance, potential and core competencies. The 47 members from this year’s cohort are from across the worldwide network of about 12,850 people and work in operations, resource development, marketing communications, and community impact.
“I’m honored to be chosen for the LEAD program! I am looking forward to this incredible opportunity to interact and engage with other professionals, sharpen my skills, share knowledge and build our United Way for the future,” said Arnold.
